Ravelympics

So I am still knitting these Jaywalker Socks. I'm very happy with how they're turning out, but they are very yarn hungry. I finished the first sock with only about 10 metres to spare. I am trying to match the yarn on the second sock so they look like a matching pair so I took off the first part of the skein until I got to the right colour. But I think I will have to use that yarn at the end meaning the toes probably won't match.



Meanwhile, Gayle is also looking beautiful. I am now on the armhole section of the fronts and have about 10" left to go. I think I will knit the sleeves together to make it go faster. I really want to have this finished in 2-3 weeks time.

Fish!

Jaywalker!

Here are my Jaywalker socks (pattern can be found ravelry) that I am knitting for Ravelympics 2010 and also as a RAK for a fellow raveller. I am using Regia Design Line which is designed by Kaffe Fassett. I managed to get quite a few inches knitted at my eldest daughter's dance festival today.

Beginnings

Hmmm... what to say? I have decided to start a blog to track my knitting in particular. I think I may be addicted to knitting and I know I am addicted to buying yarn for my knitting. I just wish I could knit as quickly as I buy the yarn!

I am waiting to start on my Ravelympics projects which I am not allowed to cast on for another 36 hours! But I can't wait to get started. This is my first attempt at blogging and I will have to think about how I'm going to get this set up, but I'm sure I'll muddle through.
